Our Father, who art in heaven,
thank you for this life.
For all its many peaks and troughs
and words that slice and knife.

Hallowed be Thy name, my Lord-
Thy Kingdom truly come.
Stay those who would but interfere
in battle, before it’s won.

Thy will be done on this earth, Lord
as it is in Your pearly Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread:
Give strength to say what need be said.

And above all, Forgive us our trespasses,
though we may not forgive in kind.
Intrusion does not easily slip
from present reasoned mind.

Lead us not into temptation, Lord,
but deliver us from evil.
And Witness, who would have thought
that now We’re truly equal!
